Located in the heart of the Algarve, Vilamoura is an international reference and one of the most sophisticated residential and tourist resorts of Europe.
The village has one of the best cycle paths of the Algarve. Here we start the tour in direction to the glamorous marina, a place with great touristic interest, where we can observe luxury boats moored. The tour passes through Quarteira, a modest fishing village, situated on the edge of an extensive beach surrounded by a pine forest. In Quarteira we visit the bay entrance, where you can enjoy a maritime breeze; the fisherman arriving with the catch of the day to the port; and the Municipal Market, where we can find regional products that the local farmers grow and top quality fresh fish. Passing by the big sidewalk of Quarteira we will find the Pine Forest area and the Almargem mouth, a dense vegetation area with several wildlife species as the Purple Heron, the Cattle Egret and the Hoopoe. The third part of the tour goes by the cycle tracks of Vilamoura exploring the surroundings of the village.
